چکیده

A slaughterhouse worker presented with fever and a pleuropericardial eVusion. Conventional microbiology failed to identify the responsible organism. However, DNA sequencing definitively identified Campylobacter fetus ssp fetus, which is rare in immunocompetent individuals. Prolonged treatment was required to eradicate the infection.
